Quick verdict: In this Notta AI review, Notta was the best tool I tested for Urdu: it wrote my Urdu recording in proper Urdu script, made a clean Hindi summary, and even answered a Roman Urdu question in Urdu script. English dates, money and times were right. The weak spots are names (it turned “Ahmed” into “ML”), a free plan that stops at 3 minutes per recording with no export, and a lot of upgrade pressure. Watch the billing: many users complain about charges after trials.

Best for: Urdu and Hindi speakers, students, mixed-language meetings · Not for: long meetings on the free plan · From: $8.17/month billed yearly, or $13.49 month to month · My score: 4.4 out of 5

In this Notta AI review I share what happened when I used Notta with my own voice in English, Hindi and Urdu. I tested it twice on the free plan, on 19 and 21 October 2026: plain uploads, the bilingual mode, the AI summary and Notta Brain, its AI assistant. Prices and limits come from Notta’s official pricing page, checked on 21 October 2026.

What is Notta AI?

Notta is an AI note taker and transcription app. It can join online meetings, record in person, transcribe uploaded audio and video, and turn the transcript into a summary. Notta says it supports 58 languages for transcription, and Urdu and Hindi both worked in my test. It runs in the browser and has iOS, Android and desktop apps (see the official pricing page for what each plan includes).

Notta AI review: the Notta dashboard on the free plan with 120 minutes and upgrade offers
The Notta dashboard on my free account: easy to find everything, but note the trial and upgrade offers all around it.

Getting started was very easy. Upload, record and “Record online meeting” are big buttons on the home screen, and picking a language takes one search.

Notta Urdu and Hindi test

This is where Notta stood out. With the language set to Urdu, it wrote my Urdu line in proper Urdu script, both repetitions, word for word. English words I mixed in, like “meeting” and “website launch”, stayed in English letters, which is how most of us write anyway. The Hindi line came out perfect in Devanagari.

My Urdu voice note in Notta: correct Urdu script, nothing missing.

No other meeting tool I tested did this. ElevenLabs wrote my Urdu in Hindi script, Fireflies dropped half of it, and Otter doesn’t support Urdu at all. The full results are in my Urdu speech to text test.

Tip: pick the language by hand before you upload. Notta’s bilingual mode (two languages in one file) lists Hindi and English but not Urdu, so for Urdu use the normal mode with Urdu selected.

Bilingual mode: searching for Urdu gives “No data”.

Notta accuracy in English and mixed speech

My English script has three agenda items, names, a price and two times. Notta got almost all of it right:

  • Correct: “AI Tool Wise”, November 15, $250, “Ali will write 2 reviews by Friday”, 5:00 PM, Monday at 10:30.
  • Wrong: the name “Ahmed” became “Amal” on the first run and “ML” on the second, and “test Fireflies and Otter” became “taste fireflies and water”. Fireflies and Otter made the same tool-name mistake.

On 21 October I tried the bilingual mode with Hindi + English on the same file. The English part was the same as before. My mixed Roman Urdu line (“kal ki meeting mein hum budget discuss karenge…”) came out in Devanagari Hindi with the first word missing, and my free Urdu-Hindi talk was mostly readable, with a few odd words. That is far better than Fireflies, which turned the same talk into gibberish, but it is not perfect.

Bilingual Hindi + English transcript: English and Hindi in one file. The trial offer covers part of the screen on the free plan.

One more thing: processing was slow. My 1:15 file took about 3 minutes to transcribe, and the dashboard shows a banner saying free users wait longer during peak hours.

Notta AI summary and Notta Brain

The AI summary follows the transcript language. For my Hindi + English file it wrote clean meeting minutes in Hindi: key points, open questions and action items, with the dates, $250 and the 5 PM deadline all correct. It did repeat the transcript errors (“ML” and “water”), so a summary is only as good as the transcript.

Notta’s AI summary in Hindi. Fireflies couldn’t make any summary from my Hindi and Urdu files.

Then I asked Notta Brain in Roman Urdu: “Is meeting ke action items Urdu script mein likh do.” It answered with five action items in correct Urdu script. That one question used 100 of the 1,000 free Brain credits.

Notta free plan: limits and exporting

Notta’s free plan gives you 120 transcription minutes a month, 50 file uploads and 10 AI summaries, with no credit card. The catch is the limit of 3 minutes per conversation. That is fine for WhatsApp voice notes and short clips, but not for a full meeting or lecture.

You also can’t download anything on free. When I tried to export, Notta said only Pro and Business users can export.

Export is locked on the free plan.

My verdict on the free plan: good for testing whether Notta understands your language, not for daily work.

Notta AI pricing in 2026

Prices checked on Notta’s official pricing page on 21 October 2026, in USD. Taxes may be added depending on your country.

PlanMonthly billingYearly billingMain limits
Free$0$0120 min/month, 3 min per conversation, no export
Pro$13.49/month$8.17/month$97.99 per year1,800 min/month, 5 h per recording, export, translation
Business$27.99/month$16.67/month$199.99 per yearUnlimited transcription, video recording, CRM and Zapier
EnterpriseCustom, from 51 seatsSSO, audit logs, priority support

Which plan to choose: for one person, Pro on yearly billing is the sweet spot. Notta also lists a 50% education discount.

Watch out for trials: my free dashboard kept offering a “7 days for $1” Pro trial and a Business trial. Notta’s terms say subscriptions renew automatically, and recent Trustpilot reviews complain about charges after a trial was cancelled. If you start a trial, set a reminder and cancel well before it ends, and keep the confirmation email.

Notta AI pros and cons

Pros

  • Urdu in proper Urdu script, word for word (my test)
  • AI summary in Hindi, and Notta Brain answers in Urdu script (my test)
  • English dates, money and times were correct (my test; G2 users also praise accuracy)
  • Very easy to use
  • Pro is cheap on yearly billing ($8.17/month)

Cons

  • Free plan: 3 minutes per recording and no export
  • Names and tool names go wrong (“Ahmed” → “ML”, “Otter” → “water”)
  • No Urdu in bilingual mode
  • Slow processing and constant upgrade offers on free
  • Billing complaints after trials (Trustpilot, The Business Dive)

Who should use Notta (and who should skip it)

Notta is a good fit for:

  • Pakistani users who need Urdu transcripts in Urdu script
  • Students and teams who mix Hindi, Urdu and English in meetings or lectures
  • Anyone who wants a cheap paid plan: Pro on yearly billing costs less than Otter or Fireflies

Skip Notta if:

  • you want to transcribe long meetings on the free plan
  • names and brand names must be perfect, like legal or medical notes
  • you don’t want any risk of being charged after a trial

My score4.44.54.0

Notta prices checked 21 October 2026; Fireflies and Otter prices from their official pages, checked 16 October 2026.

Fireflies scores a little higher overall because of its meeting bot and features in English. For Urdu and Hindi, Notta is clearly better. See my Fireflies vs Otter comparison for the English side.

What other reviewers say about Notta

To give you the full picture, I compared my test with what users and other reviewers say.

SourceRatingNotes
G24.2/5 (442 reviews)Users like the transcription, accuracy and ease of use; complaints mention inaccurate transcripts and price
TrustpilotNo rating shownTrustpilot says the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines; recent reviews complain about charges after trials
The Business Dive3.7/5Likes the bilingual transcription and clean interface; calls billing its biggest weakness

Ratings checked on 21 October 2026.

Why my score is higher than The Business Dive’s: their 3.7 is pulled down mainly by billing complaints. My 4.4 is about how well Notta works, especially in Urdu and Hindi, where it beat every other meeting tool I tested. I didn’t pay, so I couldn’t test billing myself, which is why the trial warning above matters.

How is the AI Tool Wise score for Notta calculated?

AI Tool Wise score = 60% my test score + 40% the average of user ratings on platforms with at least 50 reviews. Trustpilot shows no rating for Notta, so only G2 counts: 0.6 × 4.4 + 0.4 × 4.2 = 4.3 out of 5. More on this on my how I test page.

Notta AI review FAQ

Is Notta free?

Yes, there is a free plan with 120 minutes a month, but each recording is limited to 3 minutes and you can’t export. Paid plans start at $8.17/month on yearly billing.

Does Notta support Urdu?

Yes. In my test Notta wrote Urdu in proper Urdu script, word for word. Urdu is not available in the bilingual (two-language) mode, though.

Is Notta better than Otter?

For Urdu and Hindi, yes: Otter supports neither. In English, Notta also did better in my test (it got “$250” right, while Otter wrote “two $50”), but Otter lets you export on the free plan and Notta doesn’t.

Can I cancel Notta anytime?

Notta’s terms say plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel before a trial or renewal date and keep the confirmation, as several users report unexpected charges.

Is this Notta AI review sponsored?

No. I tested Notta on my own free account and wrote this review myself. The “Try Notta” links may become affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See the affiliate disclosure.

Final verdict: is Notta AI worth it?

To sum up this Notta AI review: if you speak Urdu or Hindi, Notta is the meeting transcription tool I would pick. It was the only one that gave me correct Urdu script, it summarizes in Hindi and answers in Urdu, and Pro is cheap on yearly billing. Just know its limits: check names in every transcript, don’t expect much from the 3-minute free plan, and be careful with trials.
